The Urban Civic Education minor emphasizes civic agency and is designed to inform the student about public work, public achievement, and community organizing. Students are required to take a total of 19 credit hours. The minor encourages active participation through service-learning and public achievement models and reflection in the processes of social, political, and personal change. Courses in the program focus on critical analysis, social justice, and public action.
