Douglas Hoston Jr. selected as a 2021–2023 fellow at Buffalo State through the State University of New York’s (SUNY) Promoting Recruitment, Opportunity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Growth (PRODiG) initiative. Hoston will teach courses in the Social and Psychological Foundations of Education and Adult Education Department at Buffalo State for the next two academic years.
Social and Psychological Foundations of Education is a non-degree, service-focused department committed to the study of teaching and learning through insights gathered from a number of disciplines.
Faculty members come from within diverse academic disciplines traditionally associated with educational foundations and are committed to high-quality instruction, service, and scholarship that examines the role of education in bringing about progress and democratic participation in our society.
Courses are grounded in educational foundations and are guided by developmental sciences, critical analysis, and social and political action.
