This micro-credential is a two-course sequence that provides graduate students and community members with knowledge and skills related to urban education theory. This micro-credential, offered 100% online, will provide graduate students from Buffalo State and across SUNY important and marketable skills in urban education. This micro-credential is a stand- alone enhancement of academic and skill-based knowledge for graduate students and community members. Both courses in this micro-credential are stackable as they role directly into the Adult Education M.S. degree program.
Teacher Education students and Adult Education M.S. students will seek to complete this micro-credential as part of their graduate degree programs. In addition to being an appropriate micro-credential for all education majors, the Urban Education Microcredential is a good fit for Multidisciplinary Studies majors, Public Administration majors, Higher Education Administration majors, Criminal Justice majors, Public Relations majors and Creativity Studies majors.
